Justine & Jamie tied the knot earlier in the year, and as they didn’t have a photographer on the day their awesome friends decided to buy them a voucher for a couple shoot! Such a sweet and in love couple made for a fabulous shoot and a Sunday afternoon well spent. Starting out with some pretty nature shots, the second half of the shoot had a decidedly more grungy feel about it as we headed to an abandoned building. Thank you both for being up for anything and indulging my ‘arty’ ideas!

I met up with this lovely family recently in Kalk Bay to capture some fun and natural family portraits of them. They had come together across the globe from Austrailia and UK for a family visit in their home, Cape Town and wanted to mark the event with a family shoot. I love family shoots with little kids aren’t they so entertaining! Love the laughs and expressions.

All the weddings I get to photograph are happy and joyous occasions, but every now and again I am lucky enough to photograph a wedding that, without all the frills and fuss is simply bellissimo! Not because of the decor or the amount of guests or any of the extra’s but purely because the bride and grooms overflowing love for one another is so evident, that is all that is needed. Mariana and Martin’s love story began in Rome where Martin (from Prague) and Mariana (from Argentina) met and fell in love, moved continents to beautiful Cape Town (yes I am biased!) and tied the knot at their friends lovely beach guesthouse , The Beach Villa. With a sprinkling of their closest (very awesome and fun) friends and of course the beautiful backdrop of table mountain watching over them, they declared their love for one another. They couldn’t have been luckier with the weather and the day was a true reflection of Martin and Mariana’s love for each other. They also made us feel so completely wonderful and part of the day, thank you both so much for this! I really loved every second of this wedding and I hope the below photos reflect this!

Jeanne-Marie Beautiful Bump

I recently met up with gorgeous mamma to be, Jeanne-Marie and her husband, Dominic to capture some ‘Beautiful Bump’
photos of Jeanne-Marie before they meet their new little arrival who is due this month! Always such an exciting time to capture and special memories of a new life about to enter the world. Wishing you both the best with your new bundle of joy who I am sure will bring you so much happiness! x

Catherine & James had a beautifully elegant wedding held at the lovely Rhebokskloof Estate in Paarl. Catherine was the picture of beauty and grace as she arrived at the ceremony by horse and carriage to marry the man of her dreams! The two of them were so comfortable infront of the camera which of course makes my job that much easier, and I loved that one of the horses got involved in the couple shoot for a few shots. The bridal party were also great fun, I love it when there is a great energy with everyone on the day, lots of laughter makes for a special wedding, which was certainly the case with this lovely couple’s happy day.

Natalie & Alex share a beautiful love that was so evident from the time I first met them. Throughout their wedding day the true love and emotion that was present amongst these two was just amazing! Natalie & Alex live in the UK and decided to exchange vows in Natalie’s homeland, South Africa. Le Petite Dauphine in Franschhoek set the scene for their intimate and fairytale wedding with mountain vistas and dinner by candle and fairylights which completed the atmosphere. I love that I get to capture such happy and in love couples like Alex and Natalie on their wedding day!

Jayme & Clive celebrated their special day at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay. The bride and groom along with all their guests made the trip down from Joburg to get married in beautiful Cape Town. The gorgeous backdrop of Camps Bay and a stunning (non windy!) day made the day even more amazing! Jayme made an amazingly beautiful bride and looked like she could grace the front cover of a magazine in her lovely dress. Wishing you both a blessed marriage Jayme & Clive! x

Caroline & Brendan

Caroline & Brendan got married in Cape Town and celebrated with their family and friends at the Roundhouse in Camps Bay. The setting was truly breathtaking and as the sun set over the twelve apostles in Camps Bay, one couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful evening! Many of the guests flew halfway across the world to be part of Caroline & Brendan’s special day as Caroline originally hails from Canada, so between the Canadians and the South Africans they certainly enjoyed the party! Wishing you the happiest future together Caroline & Brendan x

Catherine & Justin ‘Rock The Frock’

One of my all time favourite spots in Cape Town is Camps Bay. The natural beauty of this coastal town always takes my breath away as I drive over Kloof Nek, and the twelve apostles comes into full view. Catherine & Justin who recently got married (see their wedding pics here) wanted to ‘rock the frock’ after their wedding and create some more memories to treasure. As Catherine is a Cape Town girl and loves the beach, we chose Camps Bay for the shoot. We were blessed with gorgeous soft lighting and a beautiful sunset, and braved the cold Cape Town waters to get the shots! Catherine and Justin pulled it off perfectly and even I got in the surf and photographed away much to the amusement of some local onlookers! Catherine & Justin are set to move back to Asia to teach and then onto Texas. I hope these photos of you both enjoying Cape Town will remind you of your happy honeymoon time spent here! Enjoy x

Ricelle & Sean

Ricelle & Sean flew down from Joburg and got married at Lermitage in the picturesque town of Franschhoek. Their wedding day was beautiful and the quaint chapel that belongs to Lermitage created a romantic setting for their special day. Ricelle & Sean also booked me for a photoshoot the next day where we could spend some time getting photos on the beach and in nature without them having to worry about their guests waiting for them (a very good idea!) So we headed to Steenbras Dam and Kogel Bay, where we all braved the wonderful Cape winds! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together Ricelle & Sean!
